According to Foodproccesing.org, an online magazine that introduces the newest products and brands in the food and beverage industries, large food companies are now hiring top chefs. These chefs will allow these mass market companies to include the "gold standard" of having a fresh made-from-scratch meal within mass production. Companies such as Campbell, Nestles, and Tyson's foods are examples of these companies. This strategy allows for companies to help their products feel more fresh than processed, which is currently a consumer trend in the consumer market. Companies have allowed this to become their new product development strategy.
Another current event is the new producer trend of creating transparent packaging for their products. Companies say that if one can look at what they are buying, they are more likely to buy it than buying something they do not see. For example, Kraft has created a bag that consists of two new bags of two different kinds of food. This larger bag is fairly transparent and allows for consumers to see at what they are buying. Dole has created the same idea where their food is seen through their clear plastic containers. this strategy allows for the new marketing strategy of helping buyers buy. Where clear packaging allows for consumers to see exactly what they are buying, to help them find trust in what they are buying.
